Sixcia DevineSixcia Devine graduated from the University of Rhode Island with majors in Communication Studies and Spanish as well as a minor in International Development. She has done graduate work at Harvard University and Schiller International University in Paris, France. Previously Sixcia was the Small Business Specialist at The Center for Women & Enterprise in Providence where she helped aspiring and existing Women in business get the resources and capital they needed to start or expand their business.

Currently, Sixcia is the Providence Metro Regional Director at the Small Business Development Center at Johnson & Wales University. Sixcia provides one-on-one counseling sessions, facilitates monthly information sessions, networking events, helps identify access to capital and is a catalyst to the development of business and community organizations, individual businesses, and the business community as a whole.

Speak Now! Spanish Networking

Bravo Brassier and HDSC, llc will be hosting Speak Now! Business Networking on Thursday, January 31 from 5:30 PM to 8 PM at BRAVO Brassier, 123 Empire Street in Providence

Agusto “Cookie” Rojas Jr., General Manager of the Pawtucket Red Socks is the guest speaker. Cookie will discuss the advantages of Sports Marketing and how relationship marketing can take your business to the next level. Speed networking is included, Spanish is not required - but you will learn some. So bring your business cards, and be ready to meet with Latino community and business leaders. This is a great opportunity for people to practice their Spanish while making business contacts. The evening is a learning and networking experience. You will develop relationships with others interested and connected to the Latino market through their daily business. .

This event is free to anyone who has attended SpeakNow! Spanish Immersion Classes. Entrance is $15 if you pre-register by contacting Sixcia Devine at 499-7094 or Sixcia@hdsc.us, or $20 at the door. The dress is business casual.
