If you ever need a day to connect with your girlfriends in a pampering environment, and you don’t want to splurge on a day at the spa, go to next year’s Love, Light and Laughter event, put on by aspire…magazine. Linda Joy and crew put on a spectacular event, which The Sassy Ladies were proud to be Passionate Parters of. Some key highlights from the day:
We had our first booth – we met dozens of current and aspiring entrepreneurs at the booth, and smiled all day as they shared their ideas, dreams, etc. Congrats to Joan Haymond for winning our raffle basket! Thank you to Dunham Designs for some fantastic graphics!
We made new friends – our neighbor to the left was Ellie from Uplifting Connections. We were touched by the story of how she started her wellness center. We couldn’t resist buying her “Sassy” lightbulbs, from MoodLites, “great for creating a mood of pure fun and confidence, with a little bit of attitude” Bright pink, sassy indeed!
We renewed connections – with our neighbors to the right, the New England Holistic Chamber of Commerce. Now THOSE women are SASSY! Look for more information on an email marketing seminar that Michelle will be presenting at the NHCC in June. Click here to register/learn more. We also connected with Cathy Kieran of Arbonne, Intl, who has graciously volunteered to provide makeup services for our upcoming “Sassy Ladies’ Professional Headshot event”. More details to come…
I just happened to look over and see a copy of Heavensbee, a children’s book I had returned to the library one week earlier. Turns out the author, LA Murphy, doubles as an Arbonne consultant! Here we are with a copy she signed for my kids. She is just a sweetheart.
We were delighted – with the turnout at our afternoon workshop. Wendy led the women through a guided visualization of their business dream, and they all got so excited sharing their visions and stories afterwards that we could barely wrap up the session! Soon, we’ll open our Sassy store, and you will be able to buy the podcast, and use this exercise every day.
In the end, we dined with vital women – after a day on our feet, we enjoyed a leisurely dinner with the always delightful Donna Mac, from Vital Women and DMacVoice and Joanie Winberg, a.k.a. “The Happy Wednesday Lady”. (shown here with Wendy, Linda Joy and her lovely daughter). Over several glasses of wine and some hearty sandwiches, we learned all about Joanie’s foundation, which supports “Women Build”, a partnership with Lowe’s and Habitat for Humanity to create a home built entirely by women volunteers. If anyone is interested in volunteering for a weekend of construction with The Sassy Ladies, please let us know. Click here to read more.
Oh, and Wendy and I had our cards read and we were told that The Sassy Ladies “Getting Down to Business” retreat this summer will be a huge success. (Tell us something we didn’t know already!!) We hope you join us, and bring your girlfriends. Details, details..
A good time was had by all. Thank you to Linda and all those at aspire for putting on a fabulous event!
