Wendy leaned closer to me with a gleam in her eyes. She said in a hushed voice, "Can I tell you one more thing before Miriam gets here?"

Miriam was on her way to meet us for a lunch meeting and afternoon work session. We had to stay focused. We had deadlines to meet, and time was precious. I laughed because lately, both Wendy and I had been apologizing to Miriam for all the ideas we come up with.

Miriam is the practical, organized, focused one. We are the crazy people who wake up in the middle of the night with the "best idea ever", the ones who think every opportunity is equally great, the ones who get frustrated with our inability to implement all our great ideas.

"Okay, one more thing," I answered.

Wendy pulled out a rough sketch for a new workbook product out of her bag and described it, and as she did, my wheels started turning. We started the back and forth of the product development discussion:

"Women are going to love this!"

"I need this now! I can't wait to have a tool like this!"

"And we can automate it to trigger reminders via e-mail, and, and.... Quick, Miriam's here! Put it away."

We'll tell her later, once we're finished with our agenda. Closet entrepreneurs among a community of entrepreneurs. Thank God for Miriam to keep us on track and focused. Thank God we have each other to balance both our creativity and our practical sides.

Miriam shared that when Wendy and I "get going like this", she feels like she's in front of one of those tennis ball machines with a racquet the size of a quarter. We all laughed, but we knew she was right. We're in the final rounds of edits on our book manuscript. We've entered some important marketing partnerships with the tight project deadlines. We're about to announce some new opportunities for our women entrepreneur community and need to finish what we start before we start on our next "big idea".

Thank God for a partnership where our strengths complement each other's in so many different ways. It's good to have each other to bounce our ideas off of, and it's good to have a parking lot to put them all in.

Stay tuned as we unroll the story of this new product as it unfolds. Wendy and I can't wait, but we've got to tell Miriam first. All in good time.
