On Monday, November 5th, The Sassy Ladies showed their support of small business at the We Mean Business Expo, in Lincoln, RI. A joint partnership of the Rhode Island Secretary of State's office and the Rhode Island Economic Development Corporation, this first-time event was packed with hundreds of small business owners looking for assistance from government agencies, non-profits, and small business advisors as exhibitors.
We interviewed many of these experts throughout the day, and asked them to share some tips for our online audience. Now you can hear their best advice for your business! Hear the "Ask the Expert" interviews.
While Wendy and I ran around the show floor lining up interviews and "producing" our podcast from the (quiet?) lounge area, Miriam stayed back at the booth, meeting with many women business owners - some launched their businesses right at the event! It was great to connect with so many creative and energetic business people in one place.
We look forward to keeping in touch via our newsletter, and heairng your stories as you start and grow your businesses. You go, girls!

Miriam, Michelle, Nancy Faella, State Treasurer Frank Caprio, and Wendy. Nancy is one of the people we interviewed at the Expo - she is trying to start a business importing Columbian coffee cubes, called Violet's Products. We enjoyed chatting about search engines and websites with Mr. Caprio. (See his at http://www.capriotv.com/) It was great to see so many state officials there supporting small business!
